Erik ten Hag given brutal Manchester United future ultimatum as Sir Jim Ratcliffe message clear

Mark Bosnich believes Erik ten Hag will be sacked if Manchester United fail to reach the FA Cupfinal. The Red Devils will lock horns with Coventry City at Wembley in the semi-final on Sunday, April 21, as either side hopes to get their hands on some silverware.

Manchester United haven’t won the competition since 2016 when they defeated Crystal Palace in extra-time, despite having reached the final twice since; losing to Chelsea and Manchester City in 2018 and 2023, respectively. Only Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial remain in the Red Devils squad which reigned superior eight years ago.

As for Coventry City, they’ve only ever won the FA Cup once in their history, storming past Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 after extra-time way back in 1987. In fact, when the Sky Blues face Manchester United later this month, it’ll be just their second-ever semi-final appearance in the tournament.

Mark Robbins’ side will be determined to make history at Wembley, but the odds have been heavily stacked in the Red Devils’ favour. So much so that Bosnich believes Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be sacked if they lose to the Championship outfit.

Speaking to FastestPayoutOnlineCasino, the former Manchester United and Chelsea goalkeeper said: “Winning the FA Cup could save Erik ten Hag’s job, and they should take care of Coventry City quite easily which could see them play Manchester City in the final.

“They won’t be able to catch Aston Villa or Tottenham for a Champions League spot in the Premier League table but if they put in good performances and win the FA Cup he will be safe. If they lose to Coventry then I can see Ten Hag being sacked, if they get to the final and have a heavy defeat then I can also see him being sacked.

“If United lose to Coventry then I think that will be it for Ten Hag in the job. It’s quite ironic that it could come against Mark Robbins’ team who might well have saved Fergie’s job all those years ago in the FA Cup run on the way to beating Palace.
