Erik ten Hag has now convinced player who ‘has everything’ to join United after latest round of talks

Manchester United are certainly moving with intent on the market this summer, as fans eagerly anticipate which target will be first to hold up the red shirt in the coming weeks.

Currently, the three players most heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford are Matthijs de Ligt, Manuel Ugarte and Joshua Zirkzee, with reports suggesting all three players are open to signing for the Reds if their respective clubs sanction their exits.

United haven’t been the only side in pursuit of Zirkzee since the window opened, although they do look the most likely to acquire his signature now. AC Milan are also keen admirers of the player, with previous coach Stefano Pioli heaping praise on the forward’s shoulders last season by declaring he ‘has everything’.

Having now switched their attention to other options up front, United have seemingly been given the green light to activate Zirkzee’s £34 million release clause. Italian outlet Corriere de Bologna, cited by GiveMeSport, has claimed that the Dutch international has agreed to sign for the 20-time English champions after holding positive talks with compatriot Erik ten Hag.

A treble-winner with Bayern Munich, the frontman boasts a plethora of experience that will only aid Rasmus Hojlund as he continues his transition to the Premier League.
