Fabrizio Romano shares Exciting Kobbie Mainoo Manchester United update

Mainoo only made his first Premier League start in November last year, but he has quickly become one of the main players under Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag.

At just 18 years of age, the Manchester United prodigy has already made 27 competitive outings for the Old Trafford side

Mainoo has two senior England caps and a goal to his name, and following his amazing display in the friendly against Belgium, he’s now in contention for a Euro 2024 squad spot.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has dropped an exciting update about Mainoo’s contract situation at Manchester United.

What has Fabrizio Romano said about Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo?
Romano wrote on X: “Understand Manchester United are now pushing in talks to extend Kobbie Mainoo’s contract by this summer after initial discussions in February.

“INEOS want Kobbie to be one of the faces of the new project. New deal would see salary increase for Mainoo + several add-ons.”

It’s great to hear that Man United have clear intentions of tying Mainoo down to a new contract.

He is, after all, a generational talent, and the quicker the Red Devils manage to get him to commit his future to Old Trafford, the better.

At just 18 years of age, Mainoo already looks like a top Premier League player, and it’ll be exciting to see how he continues to develop
