From France – Man Utd concretely move to sign £96,000 a week manager

Manchester United needs to bolster their team, but they must address the club’s managerial issue before doing so.

Erik ten Hag’s FA Cup victory at the end of a miserable season may have raised some questions in the minds of the new owners.

Le10Sport exclusively revealed that Ineos is looking to appoint a new head coach, but they are having trouble finding the appropriate fit at this time.

As a result, Ten Hag might return to Old Trafford for the upcoming campaign. According to the French source, Man Utd is now working with two managers in specific roles: Roberto de Zerbi and Gareth Southgate.

Le10Sport claims that the Old Trafford team has made progress with the above mentioned managers.

Though De Zerbi, who proved to be a hit with Brighton, “shows himself to be greedy,” Gareth Southgate, who earns approximately £96,000 a week, or £5 million a year, is currently with England for the European Championships.

The Italian manager had a release clause of £12 million, but the Seagulls reached a mutual agreement to end the contract at the end of the last campaign, and he is now free.

Southgate has never won a trophy in his managerial career, while De Zerbi has only one, the Ukrainian Super Cup, which he won with Shakhtar Donetsk.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the new owners are finding it hard to make a final decision on who will manage the team next season.

In your view, should Man Utd hire the services of Gareth Southgate, De Zerbi or hold onto Ten Hag?
