Jadon Sancho has four-word response to Man United exit with transfer confirmation close

Jadon Sancho has sent a message of encouragement to Donny van de Beek after the Dutchman’s farewell post to Manchester United supporters.

Van de Beek will be leaving United after four years to join La Liga side Girona, as reported earlier this week by MEN Sport, bringing to an end the Dutchman’s disappointing spell at Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old arrived at United as one of Europe’s hottest prospects but failed to gain regular playing time due to lack of form and injury issues.

Despite failing to live up to expectations, Van de Beek appears nonetheless grateful for his time spent in Manchester and shared the following words on social media confirming his exit.: “Dear Manchester United family. Today is a memorable day as my adventure at the club comes to an end. I want to thank you all for your support throughout the years. From the moment we arrived at Manchester United, we felt extremely welcome and we are grateful for that.

“Thank you to everyone at the club for making us feel at home. A special thanks to all the fans that made these years unforgettable. Besides the football, the birth of our two children here ensures that Manchester will always have a special place in our hearts. Good luck to everybody, we’ll meet again.”

The future of Sancho himself is far from certain after the player’s public fallout with Erik ten Hag last season, which resulted in the winger being frozen out of the first-team squad.

Ten Hag was full of praise for Sancho after his impressive Champions League semi-final first-leg display versus Paris Saint-Germain back in May, though he refused to commit to an answer over the player’s long-term future under his stewardship.

“Yesterday he showed why Manchester United bought him and why he represents a high value for Manchester United. That is good. I’m happy for Jadon, with his performance yesterday. We’ll see what is going to happen in the future,” Ten Hag said.
