Joshua Zirkzee sends five-word transfer message as Manchester United ‘close in’ on first signing

Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee has admitted that he is currently unsure about his future amid Manchester United’s interest in his signature.

Zirkzee made the admission after stepping off the bench in the latter stages of the Netherlands’ European Championship quarter-final win over Turkey in Berlin on Saturday evening. He replaced Xavi Simons to help Ronald Koeman’s side record a 2-1 win and book a semi-final date with England on Wednesday night.

A late addition to the squad ahead of the tournament, Zirkzee’s three-minute cameo marked his senior Netherlands debut. He had been an unused substitute in each of their opening four matches in Germany.
