Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag now FAVOURITE to be next Premier League manager sacked

Erik ten Hag is now the favourite with bookmakers to be the next Premier Leaguemanager sacked after Sir Jim Ratcliffe watched his Manchester United side throw away three points at Stamford Bridge.

United conceded two goals in the final few minutes of a chaos-filled match to lose 4-3 to Chelsea on Thursday night. Diogo Dalot brought down Noni Madueke to allow Cole Palmer to score a second penalty before the Chelsea midfielder blasted in another after the away side switched off from a quickly-taken corner.

The dramatic defeat came five days after United conceded another late goal to draw 1-1 in a miserable performance at Brentford. United are sixth in the Premier League, 11 points off Aston Villa in fourth and face Liverpool next up on Sunday at Old Trafford in a match which could decide Ten Hag’s fate.

Ratcliffe was at the Chelsea game alongside INEOS head of sport Sir Dave Brailsford and the duo have already canvassed opinion on potential replacements. It is looking bleak for Ten Hag and Betfair now make him the 7/2 favourite to be the next top-flight boss sacked, with his odds shortening from 11/2 after the stoppage time double from Palmer.
