Man Utd director travels for talks as Ratcliffe eyes huge triple signing to kick off new era

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a huge triple signing this summer after talks between a well known Red Devils director and another club’s sporting director took place in recent days.

Man Utd transfer news

At Old Trafford, few summer transfer windows have seemed more significant than the one that is about to begin in the coming months, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe has the first chance to risk his arm. Unending whispers continue to link United with interesting arrivals, and the club’s part-owner will want to make his presence felt and demonstrate that he is right to be in charge of transfer activities.

One player who has been tipped to join the Red Devils and provide firepower is Wolves attacker Matheus Cunha, with the club prepared to quadruple his present £60,000 weekly salary. In addition to being likened to Marcus Rashford, he is said to be a player who can bring out the best in the Englishman.

With Rasmus Hojlund needing more competition for regular minutes at United and Anthony Martial leaving this summer, a new striker will be needed, and Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig has been linked to a move to Old Trafford.

In the meantime, centre back Ousmane Diomande of Sporting CP, who recently won the Primeira Liga with his present team, is being considered as the perfect Raphael Varane successor in the defence.

However, there are also worries that United might lose important players, most notably Bruno Fernandes, who is rumoured to be coveted by Bayern Munich and Barcelona. It is thought that his agent spoke with both of the giants of Europe.

Man Utd eyeing huge triple signing

The trio from Crystal Palace—Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze, and Michael Olise—are all being considered as possible additions to Manchester United, according to Football Insider.

Sir Alex Ferguson, the renowned former manager of the Red Devils, “has met with Dougie Freedman in London to explore Crystal Palace’s position” on what is likely their three most valuable players. In fact, the aforementioned club director in issue is Sir Alex Ferguson.

It is unclear if Guehi, Eze, and Olise will all sign with United this summer; their combined market value is £124 million, according to Transfermarkt. However, if Ferguson and Ratcliffe are successful in bringing in all three of them, it may be some of their most important acquisitions in recent memory.

Given that Harry Maguire is currently dealing with injury concerns, Guehi might provide the Red Devils with a long-term solution at the centre of their defence. He is currently considered as a candidate to start ahead of Maguire for England at Euro 2024.

Eze, who is also a member of the Three Lions team, could infuse Erik ten Hag’s midfield with so much creativity. In 24 Premier League starts in 2023–2024, he recorded 15 goal contributions (11 goals and 4 assists). Olise, who played a right-sided role and scored twice against United in Palace’s 4-0 victory at Selhurst Park last month, might be a great replacement for Antony.

Given the need for center-back reinforcements (Vrane is departing and Maguire is now 31 years old), Guehi may be the most significant addition of the three, but signing all three in the same window should be the goal.
