Man Utd ‘revolution’ to start with £60m La Liga raid as Ratcliffe loses patience with Ten Hag signing

According to a source, Sir Jim Ratcliffe will lead Manchester United through a “revolution” this summer and hopes to buy Spain international Alex Remiro to completely destroy Real Sociedad.

Before Monday’s 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace, there were signs that Erik ten Hag might hold onto his management position. However, it appears that Ratcliffe has been made aware by the way Man Utd lost at Selhurst Park that he needs to change this summer in order to enable the team return to major league success.

There are several in the Man Utd locker room who believe Ten Hag will be fired at the end of the season, and there seems to be a greater effort being made to find his replacement.

It will be fewer than 50 days until Euro 2024. Reserve a room using Marriott Bonvoy.

One of the leading contenders is Gareth Southgate; other contenders include Ruben Amorim and Thomas Tuchel.

Ratcliffe, however, will not only replace Man United’s current manager; the senior team will undergo a total overhaul.

A number of players are expected to depart, including Sofyan Amrabat, Anthony Martial, Raphael Varane, Donny van de Beek, and Casemiro.

It appears that Andre Onana, the goalkeeper, might now be included in that list as well. Onana’s departure from Old Trafford appears to be imminent, according to Spanish publication Marca.

Ten Hag pushed for Man Utd to sign the 28-year-old from Inter Milan last summer, but he has been ‘highly criticised’ amid a poor debut campaign.

Man Utd transfers: Top Real Sociedad performer chased

Ratcliffe appears to have taken notice of this criticism, as part of his summer “revolution,” he is currently searching for a superior goalkeeper.

According to Marca, Manchester United’s chief goalkeeper is Remiro, a star in La Liga.

Remiro’s percentage of clean sheets has increased over the past few years, as have his performances.

He earned his first cap for Spain in March after keeping an amazing 20 clean sheets in 45 games this season. Remiro may possibly be able to secure a lucrative transfer to the Premier League.

Ratcliffe intends to speak with Sociedad soon to see whether the 29-year-old is available for a contract.

Remiro’s contract features a release clause of €70 million (£60 million) that expires in the summer of 2027, although Manchester United will try to lower that amount.

Remiro’s age may worry some Manchester United supporters because he is older than Onana. Additionally, Man Utd scouts have already visited 24-year-old wonder Diogo Costa, a goalkeeper.

Remiro could, however, be able to justify his high price tag by strengthening Manchester United’s defense for the next five to six years, given that keepers typically retire later than outfield players.

Remiro is not the only Sociedad player who could travel to England this summer; Martin Zubimendi, a central midfielder, is still wanted by Arsenal.

Man Utd and Arsenal will be hoping that those players can follow in Alexander Isak’s footsteps. The striker has gone from strength to strength since swapping Sociedad for Newcastle United and has netted 24 goals so far this campaign.
