Man Utd star skips FA Cup celebrations to put future in huge doubt

Following their FA Cup victory, Manchester United celebrated, but Casemiro was not there.

The Brazilian chose to leave with his family right away after the Red Devils’ defeat at Wembley, instead of celebrating the victory with his teammates.

It will raise more questions about his future in Manchester given rumours that he may leave this summer. As pictures and videos of the United players went viral on social media. The midfield player was seen taking off on a family vacation.

A picture of Casemiro and his wife Anna Mariana travelling with their two kids, Sara and Caio, was posted on social media. “Gone on vacation,” she wrote.

After a stellar rookie season, Casemiro has struggled with form this season. With several years left on his contract, the former Real Madrid player is paid a hefty salary, and there are rumours that United is looking to reduce their losses.

This term, the athlete has responded angrily to criticism by bringing up his performance from just a year ago. He stated: “I was considered one of the best signings of the Premier League last season, and now I’m not worth anything anymore?” Amid a United midfield that has struggled to produce, Casemiro has contributed to the Reds’ worst-ever league finish.

Due to his downturn, the Brazilian was replaced in the first team by young sensation Kobbie Mainoo.

The ex-Madrid man, who has claimed numerous Champions League titles, has filled in as a makeshift centre-half in recent weeks, but that has done little to further his case with Casemiro part of a back four that shipped four in an embarrassing loss at Crystal Palace.

Jamie Carragher suggested in the final weeks of the season that the Brazilian should consider seeking pastures new. “I think Casemiro should know tonight that he should only have another three games left at the top level,” he said. “The next two league games and the cup final, then he should be thinking, I need to go to the MLS or Saudi.

“This has to stop because we are watching one of the greats of the modern time. I always remember the saying ‘leave the football before the football leaves you’. The football has left him. At this top level, he needs to call it a day at this level and move.
