Manchester United add rookie teenager to confirmed FA Cup semi-final squad amid injury woes

Louis Jackson has been promoted to the Manchester United squad for their FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City.

Defender Jackson, 18, started in the FA Youth Cup final win over Nottingham Forest two years ago and has been drafted into the senior squad amid more possible injury issues. Willy Kambwala, Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Mount were absent when United boarded their train to London at Stockport Station

The apparent absence of Kambwala could mean Casemiro has to drop back to play at centre half, where he started against Burnley in the League Cupfourth round last season. Harry Maguire is United’s only fit senior centre half and has travelled after returning to training on Friday. Scott McTominay and Antony are also available again after injury.
