Manchester United defender set to miss the rest of the Premier League season

Harry Maguire has been ruled out for three weeks after sustaining a muscle injury in Manchester United training.

The English defender suffered a regrettable injury shortly before his team’s match against Crystal Palace, and he will now miss the remainder of the campaign.

Maguire has been a vital member of Erik ten Hag’s team this season, making 22 league games thus far, after nearly being sold last summer.

The unlucky injuries he suffered on the defensive end have played a significant role in his unexpected comeback to the starting lineup.

Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have missed most of the campaign with injuries, which has opened the door for Maguire.

With Casemiro filling in as a make-shift centre back, this leaves Ten Hag in an unenviable position as they prepare for their final four games.

The Red Devils play Crystal Palace on Monday night before a titanic clash against Arsenal at Old Trafford in a contest that will no doubt shape the title race.
