Manchester United target Benjamin Sesko makes drastic change as transfer talk swirls

The three Premier League clubs credited with an interest are Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea. Red Bull Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has been mentioned frequently thus far in the summer window.

United has been expressing interest in the player for more than two years; in 2022, the MEN reported that the club had discussed a potential transfer with the striker’s representation. They appear to have a lot of competition now if they want to pique people’s interest again.

After leaving Red Bull Salzburg for the Bundesliga last summer, the 21-year-old made an impression in his debut campaign. He finished with two assists and 14 goals in 31 games.

The forward has chosen to make a significant adjustment as they go closer to the competition. Pictures of him from the match against Armenia reveal that he had his hair coloured blonde and shaved short.

He will now compete at the European Championships with the new look in mind, hoping to make an impression in Germany. United will undoubtedly be keeping an eye on him as they consider their options.

Speaking back in May, Sesko’s agent Elvis Basanovic confirmed that Premier League clubs were showing an interest in his player. “I can say that there is interest in Benjamin, both from the Premier League and from Italy,” Basanovic told Slovenian publication Sportklub.

“But out of respect, I can’t talk about the names of the clubs. We are talking about top clubs. But you have to realise that Benjamin is at a top club right now. Very few people realise how big a club Leipzig is. The next few weeks will certainly be eventful.

“It is my duty to listen to offers. We have to work on giving Benjamin more opportunities at the end of the season. But it’s his decision. We will propose what is best for his long-term development.”
