Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has sent a message on social media after being linked with the Manchester United job this summer.
The Argentine left Chelsea by mutual consent at the end of last season, despite leading the club to a European finish, His exit from Stamford Bridge came at the same time as uncertainty surrounded the future of United boss Erik ten Hag.Following their arrival at United at the end of last year, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos conducted a full review of the club, including Ten Hag’s position. It was however decided that the club would stick with the club triggering a one-year extension option in the Dutchman’s contract.
Amid the uncertainty over his future, Pochettino was one name who was mentioned as a potential replacement. It’s not the first time he’s been linked with a move to Old Trafford with Pochettino heavily linked when United were looking for a successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, although the club eventually decided to opt for Ralf Rangnick as an interim appointment.
