Ratcliffe eyes four big Man Utd signings that’ll launch club back into Champions League places

According to a source, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is keen to propel Manchester United higher up the Premier League standings the next season and may make four high-profile additions to bolster the starting lineup.

Man Utd won the FA Cup final 2-1 at Wembley to surprise rivals Man City, as the Red Devils won the trophy for the first time since 2016.

Even though Erik ten Hag, Daniel Radcliffe, and all of Man United’s supporters had a great day, the campaign as a whole has been generally underwhelming.Man Utd won just 18 of their 38 league games, finishing seventh in the standings.

They were only able to secure a spot in the Europa League by winning the FA Cup.

Ten Hag’s team was also eliminated early from the League Cup and Champions League, suffering further heartbreak in those competitions.

By taking home more trophies, Ten Hag believes he has solidified his position to stay as Manchester United’s manager.

However, TEAMtalk has received confirmation from sources that the Dutchman will be fired, with Mauricio Pochettino emerging as the front-runner to take over.

Ratcliffe intends to bring in four players this summer to assist Pochettino pull Manchester United back into the top four and qualify for the Champions League.

According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, the INEOS chief will sign a centre-half, full-back, central midfielder and striker for Man Utd during the upcoming transfer window.

Man Utd transfers: Ratcliffe to land four new players

The players that Ratcliffe specifically wants to bring in are not named in the report. However, in recent months, his transfer targets have been extensively publicised.

It is well known that Ratcliffe thinks highly of Jarrad Branthwaite, the Everton defender. He will not, however, pay Everton’s £80 million demands, which casts doubt on that transfer.

Instead, it has been speculated that Ratcliffe may make a surprise approach for either Crystal Palace player Marc Guehi or Chelsea’s Levi Colwill.

After suffering serious injuries to Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw recently, Manchester United will give preference to a left-sided defender when selecting a new full-back.

Man Utd’s recruitment chiefs are interested in Girona striker Miguel Gutierrez, according to a report published on TEAMtalk on Monday.

To bolster the central midfield area, Ratcliffe simply must bring in a new defensive midfielder as Casemiro looks past his best and is poised to move on.

Benfica starlet Joao Neves is a target, though he will come with a hefty price tag. Man Utd could instead move for Atalanta enforcer Ederson, who is also being monitored by Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Signing a new centre-forward is also on Ratcliffe’s to-do list as Rasmus Hojlund cannot lead the line for another full season on his own.

Man Utd like Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee but know he would rather join Arsenal. Instead, Man Utd have been tipped to bid for Brentford’s Ivan Toney or Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig.
