Report – Club ready to sell £224,000-a-week attacker to Man Utd in a swap deal

According to Spanish rumours, Atletico Madrid is prepared to trade Joao Felix to Manchester United in exchange for Mason Greenwood.

The Portuguese international rejected down every offer from the Red Devils last year in order to play on loan for Barcelona.

As to a report by TDF, a Spanish news outlet, the Rojiblancos have proposed Felix to Manchester United in exchange for Greenwood’s services.

The English winger made his La Liga debut while on loan at Getafe, but the Red Devils intend to permanently let him go.

The Colchoneros have suggested an exchanged trade involving Felix and Greenwood with Man Utd in such a scenario.

The 22-year-old winger finished the most recent Getafe season with 10 goals and 6 assists. However, Felix did not always start for Barcelona. He scored seven goals and contributed three assists in 18 league starts.

Though he can play wherever in the offence, the 24-year-old playmaker, who makes about £224,000 a week, is he good enough to improve the attack at Old Trafford? Felix was a standout player at Benfica before moving to Atletico Madrid for a cool 120 million euros.

In 2021, he and Wanda Metropolitano won the La Liga championship.

However, since then, he has not been able to progress. In the 2022-23 campaign, the Seleccao star made 20 appearances on loan for Chelsea and only netted 4 goals.

He has made it to the Portugal squad for the European Championships.

In your view, should Man Utd sign Felix in a swap deal with Greenwood?
