Trent Alexander-Arnold brutally slams Man United fans and supporters during  post-match interview after scoring England’s winning penalty

Trent Alexander-Arnold spoke with great maturity after scoring England’s winning penalty in their shootout victory against Switzerland at Euro 2024.

Despite Gareth Southgate operating with wing-backs, he snubbed Alexander-Arnold of a starting spot, opting for Kieran Trippier on the left while Bukaya Saka was employed on the right.

But the Liverpool star entered the fray in extra-time and was tasked with taking the fifth spot-kick in the penalty shootout.

And he made no mistake from 12-yards, curling home a terrific strike into the back to the net to send England through to the semi-finals.

Speaking after the result, Alexander-Arnold gave a brilliant post-match interview, having started the game on the bench.

“Incredible. These are the goals we set for ourselves. The team showed a lot of character, belief, heart and spirit, dug deep when it mattered most,” he said on the BBC.

“We knew we were never going to run away with the game, so whatever it takes, no matter what, we win.

“That’s all that matters to us.”

Alexander-Arnold started in midfield for England’s opening two group games before being dropped against Slovenia.
