Turkish giants submit outrageous double bid for United duo, they’re “waiting for a decision” – report

Notwithstanding an improbable FA Cup triumph, INEOS understands that, given the season Manchester United just had, they need to bolster all over the pitch.

The team’s worst-ever Premier League finish came in eighth place at the end of the league season, and they were kicked out of Europe before Christmas.

The team needs to add a top-tier striker, many defenders, and midfielders, but first the new co-owners must sell because of PSR issues.

There’s going to be a massive summer cleanout, and if the rumours circulating are correct, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Scott McTominay might be traded when the market opens.

AWB, McTominay to be sold?

Due to multiple injuries, the former Crystal Palace player had to play as a left-back in the last few games, losing his starting position as a right-back.

Erik ten Hag is in dire need of a more technical, attacking full-back because his on-the-ball abilities have not improved and Diogo Dalot is the clear favourite.

The Scottish midfielder had a fantastic season scoring goals, but his versatility still begs the question of what his position on the squad is.

It makes more sense to keep the academy graduate and use him as a super-sub, but the club may gain a lot from a hypothetical transfer given that his sale would be all profit.

Turkish teams have lately entered the race for the two players; according to Turkish media site Milliyet, Galatasaray has made a startlingly low price for both players.

The midfielder’s current United contract expires the next year, but in order to protect his market worth, the team has the option to initiate a one-year extension. For the former Eagles player, they have already activated the same option.

Low bid arrives from Gala

“Galatasaray want Manchester United stars Scott McTominay and Wan Bissaka. It was learned that the yellow-reds, who started negotiations with Manchester United and agreed to pay a total of 25 million euros for both players, were waiting for the British team to make a decision.

“Cim-Bom’s hand is strengthened by the one-year remaining contract periods of the two football players who coach Okan Buruk wants.”

According to reports, United is asking €40 million for the pair and is expected to reject the offer. Given the season he recently had and the fact that he was valued at about €50 million only the previous season, even €20 million for McTominay seems insignificant.

Although Wan-Bissaka’s €20 million transfer makes sense given that he is considered surplus to requirements, McTominay is probably going to command a higher fee or stay at Old Trafford.
