“Very tempted” – Journalist says “outstanding” manager wants Man Utd job along with Tuchel

Graham Potter, a manager target for Manchester United, ‘would be highly tempted’ to take a job in the Old Trafford dugout if given the chance to speak with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the new co-owner. Journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed to GIVEMESPORT that the fired manager already has ties to INEOS.

Due to his team’s failure to qualify for the Champions League, Erik ten Hag faces a serious risk of losing his job at the end of the season. As a result, newly appointed Red Devils technical director Jason Wilcox is currently deciding whether or not to make a change in the head coach before the next season.

Ratcliffe has taken control of football operations after completing his purchase of a 25 per cent stake in the club two-and-a-half months ago, which has allowed Manchester United to enter a new era, and he is mulling over whether to make considerable changes in the coming weeks.

Potter Appointment Would Have Backing of Ashworth

Dan Ashworth’s official presence at Old Trafford is expected to accelerate Manchester United’s pursuit of Potter, as i News reports. Ashworth is a strong supporter of the former Brighton & Hove Albion manager and is optimistic about Potter’s potential to succeed ten Hag.

Although the out-of-work manager has been looking for a new challenge since being fired by Chelsea 13 months ago, the report suggests that some important staff members are not persuaded that he has the qualifications to take over as Red Devils’ manager. As a result, current Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has been identified as the front-runner after it became apparent that he wants the position.

Writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT column, respected journalist Dean Jones recently revealed that Potter will be seriously considered to take charge of Manchester United if ten Hag is axed, while it has also been claimed that he held a secret meeting with Ashworth ahead of his impending switch from Newcastle United.

The Red Devils may be forced to move quickly if they decide to up the ante in their attempts to land the 48-year-old tactician as Ajax are preparing to offer a contract after pinpointing him as the ideal option to rebuild their squad without the need for big-money signings, while he is also on AC Milan, Porto and Feyenoord’s radar.
