‘What a player’… Pundit says unstoppable star is ‘epitome’ of a Manchester United footballer

Manchester United have endured a really tough season, which has not gone at all as expected.

You must therefore truly cherish the happy times. We will end the season at Old Trafford with a 3-2 victory over Newcastle, capping off some of the heartbreaking low points of the campaign.

In ten league games, this was only Manchester United’s second victory. Even though this is a bad run, maybe we can get a little momentum before the FA Cup Final.

Amad found Kobbie Mainoo unmarked close to the penalty spot, and he scored with a crisp low finish to open the scoring.

Kobbie Mainoo’s super season

Although Kobbie Mainoo made his Manchester United debut last year, he hasn’t really shown himself as a first team regular until 2023–2024.

In addition to his goals against Wolves and Liverpool, this was his third Premier League goal of the year.

Mainoo disregarded rumors that he could have needed a break by playing admirably the entire game.

On MUTV, the teenager’s performance was lauded, with former defender David May praising his effort in particular.

He said: “Kobbie Mainoo, what a player. I tell you what. He is the absolute epitome of a Manchester United player, absolutely brilliant.”

He added: “He’s a massive, massive, integral part of his team now, unbelievable.”

Kobbie Mainoo is Manchester United gem

This season, Kobbie Mainoo has made his England debut, been a regular for Manchester United, and had an incredible ascent.

Given that he didn’t play until November because of a preseason injury, the teenager’s 30 outings this season—27 of which have been starts—are all the more remarkable.

Along with Alejandro Garnacho, Mainoo and Manchester United’s under-18 team won the FA Youth Cup just two years ago.

The three trophies the under-18 squad won last year gives hope that more young players would follow him into the first team.

Keep a real eye on Louis Jackson, the centre-back who was part of Mainoo’s Youth Cup winning side, and during the under-18s latest silverware sweep.
