He is not going to start today and that is final,He lost possession more than every other player against Barnsley, He’s not fit into my system anymore”, Erik Ten Hag Confirmed £50m player will be axed from starting XI Today – Not Casemiro and not Zirkzee

Manchester United will be aiming for a third successive victory this weekend when they travel to Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

After a dismal 3-0 loss to rivals Liverpool before the international break, Man Utd have responded with convincing 3-0 and 7-0 wins over Southampton and Barnsley respectively. Winning breeds confidence, something Erik ten Hag’s side desperately need as September draws to a close.

However, United players will have to cast their minds back to last season’s trip to Selhurst Park this weekend. A shocking 4-0 defeat was handed to them by Oliver Glasner’s side, with Palace also winning the Premier League meeting at Old Trafford.

Palace find themselves at a low ebb heading into Saturday’s clash after failing to win any of their first four Premier League games of the season. Draws at Chelsea and at home to Leicester City, as well as two victories in the Carabao Cup, have kept spirits afloat during a difficult period.

Having played against Queens Park Rangers midweek, Glasner may make some changes for Saturday’s encounter. However, he is without Chadi Riad, Trevoh Chalobah and Matheus Franca.

Eddie Nketiah scored his first goal for the club on Tuesday and he may make up a front three that also contains Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta – the latter scoring a brace last weekend against Leicester.

Summer recruit Maxence Lacroix has made an immediate impression in a back three and should earn a third consecutive start.

Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs Man Utd (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Richards, Guehi, Lacroix; Munoz, Wharton, Doucoure, Mitchell; Nketiah, Eze; Mateta.

Ten Hag made sweeping changes for the demolition of Barnsley on Tuesday evening but the menacing duo of Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford started, both registering braces in excellent displays.

They may be two of the few players to retain their starting spot, with Manuel Ugarte and Diogo Dalot perhaps the others.

Andre Onana will return in goal and Matthijs de Ligt will partner Lisandro Martinez in defence. Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes will also make their comebacks, while Joshua Zirkzee is likely to start up top.
